Description
The Pactrol CSA provides automatic ignition control and flame supervision for gas burners with direct inputs of up to 60kW (forced-draught), or above (atmospheric). It is suitable for use with either direct main-burner ignition or pilot-burner ignition systems.
The control provides a short pre-purge period followed by an ignition period, and there is a choice of alternative timings. Flame supervision is by flame rectification, with the option of ultra-violet sensing with the addition of a special UV head. The control will shut-down and provide volatile lock-out following flame-failure or an unsuccessful ignition attempt, and may be reset by interrupting the electrical supply.
Time switches, thermostats, etc., are normally arranged to switch the electrical supply to the control.
Controlling the main-burner only, with a pilot left on for long periods, is not recommended.
The control will provide an extended pre-purge at reduced main voltage, and will shut-down if this drops below 150v. A supply surge voltage arrester is fitted.
